Arpeggio & Scale Resources – A Guitar Encyclopedia
This book is divided into three parts. The first part (chapters 1 to 4) is a detailed study of arpeggio patterns and an introduction to the study of scales. It covers a lot more than most guitarists know about scales, but it’s really just the beginning.

The second and third parts present a huge number of scales, most of which have never had their fingering diagrams published, at least in any systematic way. This collection is unique in the literature of the guitar or, as far as the author knows, among music books in general.

Guitar Wikibooks

This book is mainly concerned with standard six-stringed acoustic or electric guitars; twelve string guitars are also applicable in most cases. It is definitely not necessary to understand music theory to read this book, although it can yield a deeper understanding of the principles contained herein.

Martin The Journal Of Acoustic Guitars
The Martin Dreadnought guitar celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2016. It was named after the British battleship Dreadnought, which also celebrates its 110th anniversary in 2016.

I remember asking my grandfather where the name Dreadnought came from. He said his father, Frank Henry Martin, was a history buff and that he named our biggest guitar after the biggest British battleship ever made.

My wife thought I was nuts at first when I told her that I wanted to make guitars out of cigar boxes. The first one I made was humble to say the least and she had a hard time seeing the appeal. Then came the day when someone paid me a couple of hundred bucks to make three for him.

Building An Acoustic Steel String Guitar
The following illustrates the approach I use to build acoustic steel-string guitars. It’s intended to be a sort of pictorial journey through the construction of a guitar. It’s currently a work-in-progress; I’ll add sections as I reach those points in building this season’s instruments.

In general, I use the approach described by Irving Sloane in his wonderful book “Steel-String Guitar Construction” (E.P. Dutton and Co., NY, 1975). I’ve varied from his method in a number of areas (arched top, neck joint, truss rod, etc.), but I still use his wonderful rubber-band gluing jig for joining the top and back to the sides.

HARMONICA

Harmonica Method
The harmonica is a free-reed wind musical instrument, played by blowing or drawing air through one or more holes. Other names for the harmonica are harp, blues harp, mouth harp, hand reed, Mississippi saxophone, or pocket sax.

The first harmonica was created 1824 at Vienna from Anton Reinlein and Anton Haeckl. In 1857 Matthias Hohner was the first to mass produce harmonicas, and create the Hohner Company, the industry leader in reed instruments to date. In 1924 Hohner created the chromatic harmonica. The harmonica became popular in the 1950’s, that it was introduced it in the blues music.
